Summary of Experience
James D. Conkright concentrates his practice on municipal law, product liability, insurance defense and construction litigation.
He has been representing governmental entities in all forms of state and federal actions for 25 years and has been a frequent speaker and author on tort claims, Section 1983 and employment issues.
Mr. Conkright has handled and tried dozens of product cases, has organized and moderated the Annual Medical Device Seminar for 20 years and was the Medmarc Insurance National Products Attorney of the year in 2009.
He specializes in every form of insurance matter from vehicular to professional negligence. Additionally, he has been involved in numerous construction suits, including mold, asbestos and general/subcontractor defense.
He is admitted to practice law in Missouri and Kansas and is an AV-Rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbel.
Mr. Conkright is a member of the League of Municipal Attorneys and the America Bar Association- Governmental Law Section. He is a National Products Coordinating Counsel for Puritan-Bennett and a Moderator and Presenter at the Medical Device Seminar from 1990 to 2010. He served with U.S. Army in Vietnam 1969-1970.
Mr. Conkright received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City Law School (1977), a master of science degree from Pittsburg State University (1973) and a bachelor of science degree from Pittsburg State University (1968).
