Summary of Experience
Eileen Husband is a franchise attorney with a 21-year business background in transactions, contracts, litigation and employment matters. She represents both franchisors and franchisees. Her unique experience as former General Counsel to Little Caesar Enterprises, Inc. and specialized knowledge of franchise systems enables her to provide unique and insightful guidance. She currently serves as Assistant General Counsel to the Michigan Community college Risk Management Authority.
Established franchisors look to Ms. Husband for expanding into new markets, monitoring annual registrations and trademarks, compliance with national and local advertising laws, and updating UFOCs and various other agreements. She also litigates franchise disputes and negotiates contracts and handles employment matters as well.
Ms. Husband also assists developing franchises with Uniform Offering Circulars (“UFOC”), Franchise Agreements, Area Development Agreements, Master Franchise Agreements and other federal and state required documents and registrations. She also assists in the legal formation of hybrid distribution/license relationships and negotiates supplier contracts and leases. Ms. Husband also assists prospective franchisees in reviewing the UFOC, Franchise Agreement and other legal documents prior to purchasing a new or existing franchise location. Franchisees also receive assistance in forming a business entity.
