Summary of Experience
Gail P. Massad is an attorney in the firm's Livonia office who practices in the areas of appellate law, municipal law, insurance defense, property law, civil rights, employment law, class action litigation, as well as criminal law, prosecution and defense. Her legal experience spans a 26 year career.
Ms. Massad's practice consists of primarily appellate work, performing research and writing for all areas of law handled by the firm for submission of briefs to all levels of state and federal courts. Ms. Massad has drafted local municipal ordinances for two communities and assisted other municipal attorneys in ordinance drafting. Ms. Massad has had extensive experience in the appellate courts involving land use regulations, zoning issues, police misconduct defense, insurance defense and municipal defense.
Ms. Massad has successfully represented parties in numerous cases in the United State Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the Michigan Supreme Court and the Michigan Court of Appeals. She has also provided appellate consultations to other attorneys throughout the State. She has also won numerous landmark decisions in the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Michigan Supreme Court and the Michigan Court of Appeals.
