Summary of Experience
Thomas J. Laginess, has been an attorney with the firm since 1985. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Laginess was employed with State of Michigan’s Employment Security Commission from 1970 to 1985.
Currently, Mr. Laginess represents both public and private sector employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the State Civil Rights Department on labor and employment issues. Mr. Laginess has also handled matters involving Whistleblower’s Protection, Occupational Safety and Health Administration issues, Family Medical Leave; Reductions-in-Force and Terminations, Policy and Procedures Manuals, Benefits Plans and Pensions, Labor Negotiations, grievances, unfair labor practice charges, and bargaining unit designations. Mr. Laginess also serves on Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority’s Administrative Advisory Committee.
